Five ways to celebrate Canadian Beer Day

The first-ever Canadian Beer Day is taking place on October 9. It’s been a long time coming, but finally, there’s a day dedicated to celebrating the beer we all love.

And the great thing about it is, you can join in from anywhere in Canada—the world, for that matter—and we’ve got five ways you can do it.

  1. Grab a friend or two and a Canadian brew. Stop in at your local bar, restaurant or brewery, or pick up a brew at your local store. By doing this, you’re not only supporting the brewers that make the beer, you’re supporting the 149,000 Canadians the beer economy employs – from restauranteurs to barley farmers to suppliers.
  2. Join the conversations on social. Post a photo of your favourite Canadian beer, share your favourite beer story, and don’t forget to tag @cdnbeerday on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and use the hashtag #cdnbeerday. Help show and tell the world why Canadian beer is the BEST.
  3. Enter Canadian Beer Day’s contest. We’re partnering with Canadian Beer Day to give away a Bluetooth speaker cooler every week until October 14, 2019 to celebrate the big day. All you have to do is a share a photo of your favourite place to drink beer in Canada and follow the contest rules, which you can find at canadianbeerday.ca/contest
  4. Buy a beer for a stranger. Beer brings people together, in Canada and all over the world. If you’re enjoying a cold one at your favourite pub or brewery, buy one for your neighbour!
  5. Join the Here For Beer community. We don’t mean to malt our own barley, but Here For Beer is all about bringing Canadian beer lovers together and giving them a platform to connect and share the passion for Canadian beer, and also have a voice on important issues that impact beer drinkers and the industry. If you’re not with us yet, like/follow us on social and join our exclusive email list!
